About Wagralim

Wagralim is the agri-food innovation cluster of Wallonia (Belgium) and the regional reference for agri-food innovation, bringing together more than 320 members including 75% of SMEs & large companies, research centres, universities and training organisations. The cluster covers the entire agri-food value chain, from primary production to processing, ingredients, technologies and markets.

Missions & strategy

Wagralim’s mission is to strengthen the competitiveness and value creation of the companies of its ecosystem, with a strong industry-driven approach. The cluster supports the emergence and implementation of ambitious collaborative projects combining R&D, investment, skills development and market uptake, closely aligned with industrial needs.

Wagralim operates through three complementary pillars:

Innovation, by initiating and supporting collaborative projects driven by companies;
Partnership and ecosystem development, at regional, interregional and European levels;
Internationalisation, facilitating access to European networks, projects and funding opportunities.

The cluster addresses key innovation themes, including biotechnology, biosolutions for agriculture and sustainable food systems, while integrating bioeconomy-related approaches as part of a forward-looking strategy aligned with European and industrial priorities.
