The Wal-Aid project aims to set up a platform of expertise to provide guidance and support to Walloon food-processing companies from co-product to market. The potential of the co-products generated by the companies’ activities is then capitalized on to the maximum through the platform by providing a concrete and practical service for the design, development and validation of innovative and sustainable processes that combine the generation of raw materials aimed at markets linked mainly to the food and even non-food sectors through energy recovery from residual biomass.
