Sowing innovation, rooting resilience, inspiring growth.

Strengthening measures to develop the resilience and sustainability of the agri-food ecosystem.

Food RADARS is a European project co-financed by the Interreg France–Wallonia–Flanders program (CrossS3). It aims to strengthen the competitiveness, resilience, and sustainability of agri-food businesses in the French-Belgian cross-border area by supporting a diverse audience ranging from farmer-processors to agri-food microbusinesses/SMEs and manufacturers in the sector.

The project will run for 48 months, from July 2024 to June 2028, with a total budget of €4,291,418.07, including €2,574,850.82 in ERDF funding.

Project objectives

Food RADARS is structured around three key missions: stimulating innovation to anticipate and manage risks, optimizing the sustainability of food chains through three pilot actions (raw material supply, packaging, transport, and distribution), and supporting companies in their commercial strategies to conquer new cross-border markets.

Tools and support

Within this framework, Food RADARS offers several concrete measures, such as an innovation scan, a Twin Transition program combining sustainability and digitalization, as well as pilot experiments and collective actions aimed at strengthening business performance and market access.
