Towards a sustainable and innovative food system: agriculture, a pillar of the transition

The sustainable future of Wallonia’s food system hinges on innovation across competitive food sectors, requiring a systemic approach from farm to fork. The “AgriBioCare” initiative, launched by Wagralim, the agri-food innovation cluster of Wallonia with AWEX, supports Walloon companies in the “biosolutions” sector, including biostimulants and biocontrol, crucial for sustainable agriculture.

By promoting environmentally friendly practices and fostering collaboration, AgriBioCare aims to reduce reliance on controversial plant protection products. Wallonia, with its expertise and strategic focus on biosolutions, is positioned to offer innovative alternatives. Wagralim is dedicated to advancing a resilient and eco-friendly agricultural system through these initiatives.
