Food for life

"Food for Life" is a European technology platform (ETP) dedicated to the food industry. It strives to anticipate the needs of the food industry in terms of research and development. The European Commission encourages the development of these European technology platforms to promote innovation in Europe.

"Food for Life" was launched on 5th July 2005 in Brussels. Participants put together a Strategic Research Agenda and a detailed Implementation Plan. These documents describe the platform’s vision and strategy which includes research, training and communication activities planned between now and 2020.

Belgium is represented in "Food for Life" by WagrALIM and the Flemish clompetitiveness cluster Flanders' FOOD.
